Abstract: MITRE ATT&CK® is the cornerstone of a Threat-Informed Defense program. While the concept
is clear—focus on the adversary behaviors that matter to you —getting started can be a
daunting task for even the most sophisticated organizations. In this talk, we will discuss how
ATT&CK has evolved, leading to clear best practices, and with a few key first steps, how an
organization can not only start leveraging ATT&CK, but can benefit from its visibility like never
before.
Presenter Frank Duff, Co-Founder and Chief Innovation Officer at Tidal Cyber, will include a
short ATT&CK primer, review the importance of and how to accomplish threat profiling,
ATT&CK mapping, defining the best way to check your defensive coverage, and, finally,
validating with tests.
