Abstract: Garrett Yee will discuss the intricacies of implementing Zero Trust in a Denied, Degraded, Intermittent, and Limited (Bandwidth) (DDIL) environment. Joint All Domain Command and Control JADC2 and multi-domain operations require secure computing and communications at the edge for all services. Traditional cybersecurity in the tactical space generally uses a perimeter defense construct whereas a Zero Trust framework is built around Identity, Credential, and Access Management (ICAM). Zero Trust in a DDIL environment, in addition to improving the cybersecurity posture, helps to enable information, including amongst coalition partners. Hear about where we are in this journey to achieving improved cybersecurity in the DDIL environment and why it is important to pay attention now.
