Please join us at Unisys Corp. in Reston for an exciting talk by Patty Edfors on how privacy and data breach is a major driver for corporate cybersecurity. Patty is a longstanding ISSA Chapter member who leads the cybersecurity and privacy efforts for Sirius XM Radio. She will discuss how firms must think about protecting customer data when designing cyber defenses and how data breach and data breach compliance is a major task for companies in today’s global economy. In order for firms to comply with data breach notification and other obligations that arise from data breach incidents, companies must understand the rules of the jurisdictions in which they operate and have a good handle on the “citizenship” of the data that they hold. This means, among other things, that companies must plan, plan and plan in order to be ready to respond to an incident. Come here Patty share her experiences.
