Where do printers fall in your current endpoint security practices? Printers are devices on the network with an operating system that can be breached. Most companies invest millions in protecting laptops, servers, and data centers but overlook the importance in securing their print infrastructure.

Of those organizations that deploy print security, many report taking only basic measures. Michael Howard will describe real-world examples of how some of the most secure organizations are still lagging in their print infrastructure and how to best defend your printers from the next wave of security attacks.

In his role as HP Chief Security Advisor, Michael leads a team of security professionals that supports HP’s growth around print enterprise security. The team educates and supports customers in creating comprehensive security policies to protect their printing environment while increasing the effectiveness of business solutions around print.

HP-PamDill UPDATE: Michael will be assisted by Pam Dill, who is a Senior Security Advisor in the WW Security Practice for HP and has extensive experience in secure configuration and management of print hardware and software solutions. She has advised and collaborated with the US Government including the Department of Defense on security solutions for over 17 years. Pam has been instrumental in driving advances in HP’s security including CAC and SIPR Token authentication capabilities on our print devices. She has written whitepapers for remediation guidance based on DISA Security Technical Implementation Guide, as well as Smartcard Authentication Configuration.

Pam holds a BS and MS in Management Information Systems from Columbia and Florida Institute of Technology respectively.
