Abstract:  As cybersecurity professionals, we often find ourselves playing whack-a-mole with the latest threats, vulnerabilities, and intrusions.  At best, our meticulous defensive measures will delay a compromise and minimize its impact when it finally shows up at our doorstep.  Taking a step out of the trenches, how do we as a community influence the strategic level problem of infinitely resourced APTs and their endless campaigns?  Can an individual cybersecurity professional or company actually have an impact on the nations that field these APTs?  This discussion will address those questions and provide an overview of the strategies and tools the US has to achieve the highest levels of impact.
